Message From Our President

 

Welcome to the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Tri Delta at Duke University!  My name is Deborah Ades and I am the Collegiate Chapter President here at Duke. I am incredibly proud to lead such an outstanding group of women and I hope you take the time to explore our website and learn more about the sisterhood that brings life to our chapter. 

 

As a current sophomore, barely having had a normal semester with Tri Delta, I’ve had the unique perspective of evaluating and leading our chapter from a (social) distance. I came into my role in the midst of the crazy year that was 2020, with all its challenges, trials, and opportunities. While our current situation presented significant hardships for our organization to overcome, I believe the doors it has opened for us will catapult Tri Delta into a future of increased equity, inclusion, and empowerment.

 

I count myself lucky to have the chance to call myself the President of the women that make up the Alpha Omicron chapter. Each of them is a bright light on campus, in the world, and in my life. With so much to give, so much kindness, bravery, and boldness, these women embody what it means to be a Tri Delta. These Deltas foster the sisterhood, empowerment, ambition, and compassion that make the Alpha Omicron chapter truly feel like home.
